BAND

THE KINGSPIPERS
Bandleader Wim Dobbrisch founded the band The KingsPipers in 2018. Since then, the group
has been touring international concert halls
– from Europe to Australia and New Zealand – with its original acoustic-classical line-up.
Whether at festivals, town fairs or major event stages:
The KingsPipers combine music, fire and dance into a thrilling all-round experience.
In over 265 shows, they have thrilled audiences worldwide and steadily expanded their fan base.
Many know Wim Dobbrisch as the co-founder of Corvus Corax and Tanzwut
– two groups considered pioneers of their genre.
His tireless search for new soundscapes and his creative vision also shape the sound of The KingsPipers.
Today, the band presents itself as a powerful rock ensemble:
The classic line-up of bagpipes and drums is joined by driving guitars, powerful rhythms and distinctive vocals.
Singer Tommy captivates with his versatile voice,
which conveys emotional lyrics and catchy melodies straight to the heart.
Powerful rock ’n’ roll riffs meet the archaic energy of the bagpipes
– creating a unique crossover sound that gets under your skin and gets the audience dancing.
Their repertoire includes reimagined classics such as Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave,
Auld Lang Syne and Whiskey in the Jar, as well as original songs that define the KingsPipers’ distinctive style.
Behind the productions is Berlin-based producer Thommy Hein,
with whom Wim Dobbrisch has enjoyed a long and successful collaboration
– including projects with Tanzwut (EMI) and Corvus Corax.
The KingsPipers’ first releases were also created through a close creative partnership.
Director Ronald Matthes is responsible for the visual production,
having previously worked with international stars such as Volbeat, Scorpions, Nena and Doro Pesch.
